Discipleship and ethics in the New Testament church

I know people are wary of the idea that New Testament ethics is “situational,” but I think that it is important to grasp the connection between early Christian behaviour and the pressing eschatological contexts. Behaviour presupposes mission, and mission presupposes eschatological horizon.
